Investment in Downtown Nevada continues through the Nevada MO Main Street Alliance 2026 Façade Improvement Grant Program, with the first five grant recipients completing projects throughout the downtown district.

Administered by the Nevada MO Main Street Alliance and its Economic Vitality Committee, the Façade Improvement Grant Program was created to encourage continued investment in downtown properties and support improvements that enhance, maintain, and preserve the buildings that make up our district.

From new signage and fresh paint to restoration work and improvements to one of Nevada’s historic landmarks, the first five projects show how investments both large and small can make an impact throughout downtown.

Almost Amish Bread Company LLC

Almost Amish Bread Company LLC was the first recipient announced for the 2026 program.

Through the grant, Almost Amish enhanced its downtown storefront with beautiful new signage, adding to the charm and character of the building while creating a welcoming storefront for the business.

State Beauty Supply of Nevada, MO

The second recipient, State Beauty Supply of Nevada, MO, completed improvements to the front and east-facing portions of its downtown building.

The project included restoration work to the building’s rock and mortar walls, helping maintain and enhance another important property within the downtown district.

Delton Fast – Dazed N Tattooed

Building owner Delton Fast was the third recipient for improvements to the downtown property that is home to Dazed N Tattooed.

The project included the addition of a new awning, giving the storefront a fresh, updated appearance and adding another visible improvement to the downtown streetscape.

Dallas & Heather Brown

Dallas and Heather Brown were named the fourth recipients of the 2026 Façade Improvement Grant Program.

Their project brought a fresh look to their Cherry Street property with repainting of the building’s exterior. Improvements like these demonstrate how continued care and investment in individual properties contribute to the overall appearance of the downtown district.

Bushwhacker Jail

The historic Bushwhacker Jail was announced as the fifth grant recipient.

Façade improvements included scraping and repainting the trim on all sides of the jail. Investing in the care and upkeep of historic properties helps ensure that the places that tell Nevada’s story remain part of our downtown for years to come.

Investing in Downtown Nevada

Each of these projects is different, but together they represent continued investment in the buildings and spaces that make Downtown Nevada unique.

The Nevada MO Main Street Alliance is proud to support property owners, businesses, and organizations that are investing in the appearance, preservation, and future of our downtown district through the 2026 Façade Improvement Grant Program.

These are the first five recipients of this year’s program, with more 2026 Façade Improvement Grant recipients still to be announced.

Stay tuned as we continue celebrating the people and projects investing in Downtown Nevada!
