Three Ribbon Cuttings Celebrate Continued Growth in Downtown Nevada
There has been plenty to celebrate in Downtown Nevada as our Main Street district welcomed three ribbon cuttings, each representing a different kind of investment, growth, and opportunity in the heart of our community.
From a new gathering place for creative entrepreneurs, to new ownership of a familiar downtown favorite, to another locally owned business investing in our district, Golden Heartland Guild, Precision Coffee Company, and Cliff Coin Operated Laundry each have something unique to add to Downtown Nevada.
Golden Heartland Guild
Located at 125 W. Cherry Street, Golden Heartland Guild, owned by Tina Cochran, has created a new home for rural creative business owners looking for connection, support, and opportunities to grow.
Golden Heartland Guild is a private membership community for rural creative business owners committed to becoming what the Guild calls Joy-Led Business Owners.
Running a creative business can sometimes feel isolating, particularly in a rural community where finding others who understand both creativity and entrepreneurship isn't always easy. Golden Heartland Guild was created to help bridge that gap.
Members have access to weekly coaching, encouragement and accountability, business education, an online community, and opportunities to gather, learn, and work together at the Guild Hall in Downtown Nevada.
The Guild also hosts 2nd Monday at the Guild each month, an event open to anyone interested in connecting with the local creative business community.
For Tina, Downtown Nevada felt like the natural home for the Guild.
“There’s something special about building this in the heart of our community, surrounded by other locally owned businesses and people who are investing in the future of Downtown Nevada,” she shared.
Now that the doors are open, Tina is most excited about seeing the relationships, conversations, and ideas that will grow within the space.
Her hope is simple: that creative business owners walk through the doors of the Guild Hall and realize, “Oh, these are my people.”
Precision Coffee Company
Located at 200 W. Walnut Street, Precision Coffee Company celebrated a new chapter under the ownership of Scott and Maria Shreve.
While coffee may be in the name, the Shreves are quick to point out that Precision Coffee Company offers much more. The menu includes dirty sodas, loaded teas, Dirty Alanis, pastries, and food options—with plans already underway to continue expanding the menu.
For Scott and Maria, taking ownership was about more than simply purchasing a business. They love the community and hated the thought of seeing the business close or not have the opportunity to reach its full potential.
They also credit Chris Forsythe, the previous owner of Precision Coffee Company, with being an incredible help throughout the transition to new ownership.
Scott and Maria say they are excited about the growth they've already seen, the support they've received from the community, and all the possibilities still ahead.
And as Maria put it, “You NEVER know what I will be pulling out next.”
We can't wait to find out!
Cliff Coin Operated Laundry
Another ribbon cutting celebrated Cliff Coin Operated Laundry, located at 701 E. Cherry Street and owned by Jennifer and Jedd Cliff.
The addition of Cliff Coin Operated Laundry brings another valuable service to the Main Street district while adding to the continued investment we're seeing throughout Downtown Nevada. Each new business brings something different to our downtown, and we're excited to see another space filled, another local business open its doors, and more activity throughout the district.
We're excited to welcome Jennifer and Jedd and Cliff Coin Operated Laundry to the district and celebrate their investment in Downtown Nevada.
Three Businesses. Three Celebrations. One Growing Downtown.
Three ribbon cuttings give us plenty to celebrate.
Each of these businesses represents something a little different—a new space dedicated to entrepreneurship and connection, new ownership and new energy at an established downtown business, and another locally owned service investing in our district.
Together, they are part of the continued growth we're seeing throughout Downtown Nevada.
At Nevada Main Street Alliance, we're proud to celebrate the people who choose to invest their time, ideas, energy, and resources here. Every new business, new owner, renovated space, and new idea adds another piece to the story of our downtown.
Congratulations to Golden Heartland Guild, Precision Coffee Company, and Cliff Coin Operated Laundry. We're excited to have all three as part of our Main Street district and can't wait to see what's next for Downtown Nevada!
