Bobbi Ogle, who created Interior Motives in 1989, has everything anyone could ask for in her store on the north-west side of the Nevada Square. Coffee, tea, chocolate, almonds, slippers, robes, jeans, chalk paint, and everything in between. You name it, Interior Motives (also known as Studio 119) most likely will have it.
When the South Dakota native created Interior Motives, it had a different look when it mainly focused on wallpaper and interior products. Now, it has become a store that focused on small town values, and staying locally by having everything in one spot.
“I still do some home decor and design from time to time,” quoted Ogle, “But, now we mainly focus on having a place in Vernon County that continues to serve people well.”
Interior Motives has moved into three different buildings in its 33 year history.
Now it sits on the northwest corner of the Square where people can walk in and shop around. “I love people,” stated Ogle. “That is why I came out of retirement in 2016. I love seeing familiar faces in my store, talking to customers every day and helping people out”.
The store also has a workout space for people who want to try out their health and wellness products.
“We want to help people with their health journey and help them achieve their goals.” stated Ogle. “we have essential oils, perfumes, bath salts and everything in between. People can come in and make themselves happy, work out for a bit, and buy a new outfit.” Chris and Cindy are two other people that help Bobbi at Interior Motives, and Ogle states that they are an amazing help to her business. “Chris and Cindy are two people that I can count on for sure. They both love interacting with customers and helping with the merchandising.”
Ogle doesn’t have any plans of retiring for a second time just yet, but hopes that someone weill want to continue on the business she has created.
“I don’t have any plans yet, but I’d love for someone young and ambitious to say, “I would love to buy the store”. I would hate to see this close down because Vernon County needs a store like this. So many local businesses in the past years have just shut down. People need stores where they can walk in and buy whatever they need locally. Times have changed, but I would love to see this store stay alive and well for the people in Nevada.

Interior Motives is open from 10am to 5pm on weekdays and looks to supply the people in Vernon County and the surrounding area for all of their needs.
