National Night Out Brings Our Community Together

Last night, our community came together to celebrate the 43rd Annual National Night Out, joining thousands of communities across the nation in this annual crime prevention and community-building event.

Co-sponsored locally by the Nevada Police Department and the Nevada Parks & Recreation Department, National Night Out is celebrated in more than 17,000 communities across all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases around the world. More than 38 million people participate each year in what has become known as "America's Night Out Against Crime."

Hosted at Earp Park, the event welcomed families of all ages for an evening filled with fun, connection, and community spirit. Attendees had the opportunity to explore police, fire, and EMS vehicles, participate in games and activities, enjoy food and refreshments, and spend time getting to know the dedicated first responders and community organizations that serve Nevada every day.

National Night Out is about more than just a fun evening—it's an opportunity to build trust, foster relationships, promote safety, and strengthen the partnerships that help make our community safer and more connected.

Events like these remind us that strong communities are built through collaboration, communication, and getting to know one another. Whether reconnecting with familiar faces or meeting new neighbors, everyone who attended helped make the evening a success.

Thank you to the Nevada Police Department, Nevada Parks & Recreation Department, the many community organizations, first responders, volunteers, and everyone who attended for making this year's National Night Out a memorable event. We appreciate all those who work year-round to keep our community safe and connected.
